My comic, Among Gods hits one year tomorrow (April 10th) it's cray cray!!Please dont mind the crappy BG I had no ideas on it...
Characters: Persephone, Plutus, Hades, Macaria, Thanatos and Hypnos

I love this. Thou sad you didn't add the goddess of Ghosts, whos supposed to be their daughter in the myths too. Melinoe is her name

I love your comic so so much! But I have a one question. I bet someone has asked this before but I haven't found answer so I'll ask if you don't mind. What's with their children? Hypnos and Thanatos are really brothers and sons of Nyx the night goddess and Plutus is son of Demeter so have you just changed these family relationships to match your story/universe or is there a real reason for this? I'm really curious

Yeah this question was first kept bombing on me when I first announced Thanatos was the eldest son of Hades and Persephone. Let me explain my train of thought, and really the whole reason I started this comic.
I love Hades and Persephone, so I started doing more research on them and to see if they had children. They had 4 counts of children, Macaria, Plutus, Melonie and Zagreus. There were accounts that said each of these were Hades and Persephones children, and then there were accounts that said none of them were, Demeter was another mother for Plutus (but in artwork Plutus is seen sitting next to Hades and Persephone in the underworld). Zagreus is said to also have been mothered by Demeter. Macaria and Melonie are a bit different, some say Melonie was fathered by Hades alone and then I read accounts that said Hades could have no children because he Lorded the dead.
As for Thanatos, yes he actually is Nyx's son in mythology. But I was doing research on his name, and I for the life of me CANNOT find the source anymore, but his name was loosely translated to Prince of Death. And since I was so keen on HxP having 5 children I thought it fit perfectly, who would be a better son to HxP other then the Prince of Death. (Note his name has other translations but obviously your always gonna get Death)
Hypnos is still Nyx's son in my story, they are not twins, which also was a heresay in some accounts, but since they are always side by side most people would say they were brothers.
The reason for the whole comic, was actually the different tellings of the children, so I am telling my story about why our stories are all over the place in today's time. Who's to say people didnt have it wrong, and only assumed Thanatos was Nyx's son because he was always with Hypnos.
