2P Canada is a 'Tsundere' type character, meaning: Outwardly brash yet inwardly caring.
First impressions: Foul mouthed and often rude as well as rough around the edges. He looks like he's about ready to get into a brawl most of the time, or work in the outdoors when he's in casual clothes (red and black plaid jacket). You'd think he'd be simple-minded and unlearned, however he's an avid book reader and very well educated. He just doesn't put the effort in putting up a front.
Obsesses over: Hockey and making sure 2PAmerica's problems stay his own problems and don't cross his border. A difficult task considering they are not only brothers but neighbours, and America considers 2PCanada simply his hat.
Gets annoyed by: Being underestimated, ignored, forgotten. As opposed to 1PCanada, this version will actually pull the rug underneath you and remind you that he is a G8 power for a reason.
Interesting quirks: He loves 2pNyotalia!France calling her 'Maman'. He often begrudges 2PFrance for abandoning him and his maman to his foster father: England. As a result he indulges 2PEngland's odd fancies (and is one of the only people who can). Remained a proud and influential senior member of the commonwealth since then.

Other traits:
While he has a very dangerous temper when triggered, he is actually quite patient and tolerant and it does take a lot to set it off. He'll usually ignore someone or leave instead of starting a fight. He can be very protective of people he cares for, but won't hesitate to employ 'tough-love' when they are being moronic. Like his 'father'-France he's a bit of a smoker and has become somewhat of a heavy Scotch and beer-drinker courtesy of England's brothers' N.Ireland and Scotland, influence. Perhaps alcoholism does run in the nation family...
