I've been considering doing a speedpaint for a while now it's just a matter of finding the right software to record with, as I usually browse E-mails and personal things while drawing and editing that all out would be a pain.

Wait so you shade it all grey... and then what next? How does it get from thw gray to the flesh color?

I use a group set to overlay and put in the flat colors, I change them to look how I want as overlay isn't the best at keeping colors the same when going over a b/w drawing.

How do you manage to shade it with the gray? I've been meaning to learn how to do this style of shading

I use a group set to overlay, flats for all the differnt parts are inside. Overlay keeps most of the shaded look, although colors require a little playing with to achieve the result I wanted. Darker colors need a slightly darker value on whatever on the character is dark as well.
