Description
Just doodling....Came up with this centaur guy. I was kinda happy with the outcome, and decided to render it like this. Don't have a lot of experience drawing horsies, and man, they're a b*tch. Don't really like the hands and the fact his tail couldn't fit on the paper.
Anyway, centaurs are cool, and fun to draw.

The smooth rendering here is a real testimony to your pencil pushing skills. Smudging and blending graphite can look great when done right (this being a good example), but can go wrong in a hurry as well. I think you pulled it all off well Sure there are some bits that are a bit off, but i believe it you had a go at another similiar compostition you could get by that easily. I sense you used some ref here as getting horses right along with most things for that matter can go awry without refs. I think beefier legs on the horse parts, like Clydesdale big, might make you feel a bit better about this one overall, and lend the centaur a bit more masculine edge.

Yeah, you're right about the refs, and the horse could indeed be a bit more 'beefy'. The kneejoint on his stretched leg is also wrong, shouldn't bend in backwards, but eh.
