Hiiii, first submission since I'm back from Japan Expo, Paris! I had an awesome time there, learned a lot of things and met great people there that I hope I stay in touch with.This photo is taken from our ECG (European Cosplay Gathering) performance, on the exact moment when Suu (my character) realizes that Oruha ( ) is shot.
I chose this photo because you can see the total size of my wings, the light is very good and my expression is not that bad
.The wings were a little heavy and unstable but I managed to make it work.
Soon I'll make a journal about the whole experience

What kind of material did you use for the wings?

For the semi circle structures I used wood (mdf) and the wings are PVC sheets screwed to aluminium tubes. The golden details on the wings are made of PVC sheet with 3 mm and the balls are gashapons ^^

You made them to size. You're craaaazy XD I was looking at other cosplayers to see how big is too big for my Oruha wings, and now I know that such a thing doesn't exist. :3

XD Yeah, I'm a little crazy XD. I'm glad you like them ^^. You don't have to make your wings huge (believe me, it was very difficult and a little uncomfortable to use) just make them proportional.

I'm currently working on her final dress, where she has pearls in her hair (the one she's wearing when she dies). Plus her wings to match, and microphone. My cosplay partner is doing Suu and we're planning to use it for competition at a con in March

Thanks. Any chance you took process photos. I havent made wings before but am thinking about making some dragon wings trying to get the size and simulate a membrane.
