I just saw this episode yesterday, in French actually. It's the episode Plato's Stepchildren... Spock's hands and fingers are so beautiful. They are so long and elegant. This scene actually is in his pensive state because of what he almost did..Kill his captain....so he's feeling like the shits at the moment....and humiliated beyond words....not easy for a Vulcan to deal with.

You did a great job capturing that scene....

Ahhhh, Spock! I just love him. I recently watched all the episodes of the original Star Trek series. It was soooo refreshing. The jokes played on Spock's ears, logical attitude, and being a hybrid by Kirk, Dr. McCoy, etc. were hilarious. What made the puns sooo priceless was how Spock (the logical one) came back with hard-hitting one-liners that had me ! Spock was so much better at insulting them. I never knew that when I originally saw the program at 14 years old. Man, how our mind changes as we mature!

Yeah, I ought to watch some old star trek. Sometimes it's on TV, but I always miss it. The newer stuff (like Next Generation) just never did it for me. Spock's my favorite character. But Zachary Quinto just didn't cut it. Quinto's Spock seemed really uptight, whereas Nimoy's Spock always came off as a cool and in control straight-laced type.

Ohhh YES, the original Spock is amazing. But I must admit he had that novelty or vulnerable nature in the first season of Star Trek, especially the Pilot! You need to get the DVD somewhere. It's amazing. Though I grew up with Star Trek, I loved Quinto's Spock too. He showed another dimension of "not being accepted" to finally embracing who he is. I liked his "uptightness" because Spock, in the beginning had that too, but with a witty tongue. Honey, you need to see all those old episodes. Nimoy said he developed Spock as the show progressed. And you could see the different developments.
