Description Idea is mine, though based on the Tournament of Mortals...

Aang the Avatar: born into a role of great responsibility, Aang is the Avatar, the only human capable of wielding all four elements: Air, Water, Earth, and Fire. With the great power, he must bring balance to the world. Through strenuous training, he was able to learn the art of Energy Bending, and defeat the evil Fire Lord Ozai.

Alduin: The God of Destruction and Eater of Worlds, Alduin views mankind and all other species as lesser beings worth nothing more then killing. With the most durable armor of any dragon, and an arsenal of Dragon Shouts ready to be unleashed, this abominable beast is more then a match for any warrior.

Now, two ancient spirits will battle it out in a climactic showdown. Will the Avatar Spirit that runs in Aang be able to take down the destroyer of worlds? Can the greatest of dragons stop the embodiment of the elements themselves? Only time will tell, as both sides give it all they've got, all in order to win the coveted title of...

THE DEADLIEST MORTAL!

Finally, in a classic 'To the Victor Goes the Spoils', after you pick a winner, pick something for them to take from the loser. It may be something as simple as a piece of equipment, to something as complex as a power. I'm just curious what you all would say.

*AUTHOR"S NOTE: PLEASE do not use the 'Aang isn't the dragonborn, so he Can't win!' argument. For this (and all future matches involving Aludin) assume he can be beaten by someone other then that one guy. Alduin's should win or lose on his own merits, not some ridiculous plot armor. Besides, Aang's the Avatar, which is at least as good, possibly better. So, yeah. If you want Alduin to win, give real reasons, not that one.

(Disclaimer: Just to be clear, these two combatants were created / are owned by people far more creative / wealthier then me. I have made this, not for profit, but in the hopes of encouraging spirited discussion among fans. Please support the combatants official series. Thank you, that is all).

Depends on location. Aang has nothing that could finish this, unless he's somewhere he could do the "seal in a tree" thing that Wan did. And even then it's hard to say. Alduin is a beast.

Now, what about the Dragonborn vs Vaatu?

You see, if you knew anything about elder scrolls you wouldn't vote for the twelve year old.

Alduin can LITERALLY destroy planets.

Calm down there husky. Thats debatable among even ES fans that I have talked too, and the specifics (conditions, circumstances, how long it would take ect) are unknown. He needs to thoroughly demonstrate that feat for it to be applicable. Another example with one of my favorite SC characters Sarah Kerrigan who says "I feel like I could tear worlds apart!" I do not call her a world buster unless she specifically shows the feat.

I'd say Alduin would  win due to the fact that he is a master of shouts and Aang can't perform them. Even when Aang is in his Avatar form, I doubt that he can survive an onslaught of Shouts.

Plus he would get Aang's soul which would make him even more unstoppable.

Alduil wins, he is 100% impossible to kill normally, the only way to "kill him" is using the shouts of the Dragonborn.

The battle has to take place after he is defeated by the Dragonborn, so the prophecy that states that only the Dragonborn can defeat Alduin is fufilled and so other beings can now kill the dragon. Otherwise, the battle would be unfair and biased.

Too bad, Aang does not know Dragonrend so Alduin wrecks him.

Maybe this fight takes place after his defeat at the hands of Dragonborn, ths rendering the prophecy null and void.

I wonder if Aange could use his energy bending to neturalize Alduins powers?

Alduin has nothing Aang would want so he gets nothing.
If Alduin wins he would eat not only Aangs soul but also the souls of all the previous Avatars.

I think Alduin would win. Aang would be unprepared for his arsenal. Alduin would kill Aang but not the Avatar spirit. Aang would be dead before entering the Spirit. However, the next life would remember everything Aang does. So Korra would be well & good ready when Alduin hears the Avatar is back.

Alcuin, Aang has no way to permanently kill him since Alduin can continually reincarnate himself as long as his soul is free

Kill aang in the avatar state and the incarnations stop. The avatar state is the only way aang even stands a chance.

Aang ain't gonna bite the dust so easily - besides, the biggest defensive feat of Alduin - the mist - could easily be cleared by Aang's Airbending. It ain't gonna be easy for either one.

synnworld In reply to LightningLord3 [2015-04-17 21:08:11 +0000 UTC]

Did I say he'll die easily? No, I stated the only chance he has of winning is also his biggest weakness.

Alduin's only defense? Ignoring the fact the only thu'um alduin can't use is Dragonrend aren't we? Meaning he could use any thu'um from slowing time to becoming ethereal, both which aang can't do anything against.

Only bending that Alduin would probably have a problem with, would be blood bending, which ia a form of bending aang never learned.

LightningLord3 In reply to synnworld [2015-04-17 21:18:21 +0000 UTC]

Energy Bending lol

Anyways, the ethereal Thu'um prevents Alduin from hitting back himself and the time slow is quite short lived, during which he can't use other shouts.

Marked for Death might actually be really dangerous, though.

synnworld In reply to LightningLord3 [2015-04-18 02:09:07 +0000 UTC]

Which is why ethereal is a defensive thu'um, not a offensive one. Short lived slowed time ia still time slowed long enough to do damage. Alduin is both physically stronger and more physically durable then aag, even when aang is in avatar state. Physical attacks which dragons do possess are still doable during slow time.

To the best of my memory, aang has no healing factor in or out of avatar state, so a direct blow from alduin's tail, or even worse, a bite can be a game ender for him.

Mark of death is just like blood bending, it's not an absolute. How it will affect aang is arguable, just like how or even if blood bending will affect Alduin.

I could also bring bend will into this, but that is another none absolute. Even though I do think aang is open to mental attacks, but I can't remember if he had to deal with any.

Slow time is a absolute though, because the avatar I'm general showed no ability to manipulate time itself. Ethereal is also a absolute, while the avatar has traveled to the astral plane, unless he goes there physical, there is no bending there.

Well, it's kind of a silly matchup to begin with - Alduin has more in common with the lion turtle than with Aang imo. Closest thing to the avatar in the TESverse would be the Septim bloodline.

synnworld In reply to LightningLord3 [2015-04-18 08:50:19 +0000 UTC]

Tiber Septim, yes. The rest of his bloodline, no. Well, maybe martin, but he became the Avatar for the dragon god of time and that just isn't a fair comparison.

cfakatsuki In reply to LightningLord3 [2015-02-27 05:08:16 +0000 UTC]

Yeah except the avatar reincarnated into a different person where as Alduin simply reincarnated into himself and he does it in the same spot in a matter of seconds where as the avatar is reborn instantly into a completely different person so the battle atleast between Aang and Alduin would be over in alduin's favor
