Happy Valentine's Day! Enjoy my attempt at painting a ship a little more impressionistic-ally. I'm amused at how much I like this if I'm at least a foot away from it and how annoyed I am when I get close to it; it feels so "messy" up close

Well in all seriousness, painting alla-prima means I don't have to wait weeks-month+ for a layer to dry, so I just need good chunks of time to get it done... and I've gotten rid of a lot of distractions and time-wasters so that painting is basically my second job (not a full-time job on top of my normal job, but... part-time certainly). Not much "free time" left, but I enjoy painting so it's not too taxing. Just trying to make sure I do *something* every day (my only major "new year's resolution"), even if it's "paint a mini painting" or "just paint the sides of some canvases today"
