Abe from Oddworld, I know he's supposed to have some blue hues but I don't have the right markers so I settled with green. I think it still looks great, I like the eyes although the pen ink smeared on both of them... it's a painfully obvious mistake.Related content

Lines and colouring, everything is wonderful. I find it hard to characterise him the same in a cartoonish way but you pulled it off with flying colours.

I guess it may be because I see the game as cartoonish. How the cast is so animated and have so much character and humor, it all feels as though it could fit in a cartoon.

i think that the eyes look fine i dont see the smear at all.. and he does look fine being greet XD i love the coloring! ^^

I guess since I drew it I see it. One smear is on the lower part of the left eye (our left) and the other is on the top right of his right eye. My brother told me it actually added depth so I guess it really works out in the end. Thanks, i've been using those markers for quite some time now.

He sure is right, it looks fine. I'm just hard on myself on some of my pictures.
Oh, copic? Hell nah! Those are 7 bucks a pop at my local hobby store! I use prismacolors. They used to be a decent price, but now they are over 4 bucks each. Still not as much as a copic, but pretty pricey for a single marker. I take advantage of sales when I can.

oh lol yeah they are expensive DX i would have some if they were any cheaper XD it would add up to allot just to get a decient collection of colors XD
i dont use markers... only because im always scared to mess something up XD but i use prisma colored pencils mostly.... but if i really need a color and i dont have it in prisma i will use what ever i can find XD

Yeah, a basic set could easily add up to butt load o' cash.
I don't blame you. Marker ink isn't erasable. I've had years of practice with them now, I think I'm really getting the hang of it. Use whatever you fine? Like a scrounger, eh? The best type of artists, I say. Someone who doesn't really on the best materials to make art and can make good use of what one can find.

Thanks, I used yellow & orange markers and added depth with colored pencils. The markers are prismacolor, fun to use but are pricey.

I don't have any computer programs like that. I do all of my drawings traditionally. I am getting a pen tablet soon, I'm eager to get started on some digital work. Either way, I'm glad you like it. I checked out some pictures from the instruction booklet to get his hands and face just right.

No, not at all, not that I'm very good at explaining things
To be honest I didn't even know what SAI was until a few months back, but photoshop is the one I use for the fancy effects and SAI is fantastic for just drawing/lineart because the pen tool is so much smoother than Photoshop.
Both can be used pretty well for colouring/shading, I normally switch between the two for different things.

P-shaw! Who buys programs nowadays? I could probably find a ripped program somewhere... Then get a virus! Either way, I'll look into it. I trial is a nice start but I won't get it until I get my damn tablet! It's supposed to have arrived by now but it hasn't! I'm impatient! Also, I noticed you changed your avatar, your old one was cute but there's something about this one... like a smiling hyena looking right at me... but with pretty eyes.
