"Heck no," I reply.

So, if y'all have been watching me and paying attention to some of the more recent traditional drawings I've posted, you'll know that I've dragged myself into Cyborg 009 again along with a few friends of mine. It was only a matter of time before I made an AU for it, especially a Wings of Fire AU.
So here he is, the heartthrob himself.

Personality
Charismatic and an absolute sweetheart, Joe stubbornly believes there is good in anyone and is willing to give just about anyone a second or even third chance. He can be trusting to those he hasn't met, even to a fault, and doesn't take much precaution when it comes to meeting new dragons. He is capable of holding his own in a fight, but would much rather talk things out if possible. Unfortunately for him, most of the threats he and his friends face are rarely ever swayed by his words.
Despite his positive and trusting attitude, Joe is not afraid to put aside his peaceful nature. He will fight if he must, and when he does he can be merciless against whatever is threatening him or his friends. He enchanted his scales to be stronger, though not entirely invulnerable to attacks, and he protects his softer and more vulnerable underside fiercely in a fight. He's quick witted and always looking for new and clever ways to defeat his opponents if brute strength isn't enough. He is careful and tries to avoid any serious damage to himself, but at the same time he is willing to throw his life away if it means saving someone else.
Joe's greatest weakness is his friends. They are the most important thing in the world to him and while he is normally no pushover, if a friend asks him to do something that doesn't go against his morals, he'll do it. Threatening or harming his friends is a good way to get him angry, but holding them hostage is also a good way to get him to stop fighting.

History
Joe's mother died shortly before or after he had hatched. His father wasn't around and he was taken in by a kind old EnchantedWing in an orphanage alongside many other dragonets who had sadly been abandoned or lost their parents as well. He grew up in the orphanage, forever sitting on the sidelines and watching the other dragonets get adopted out while he remained behind. Those who didn't live with him at the orphanage often bullied him for being a hybrid and he turned into a bit of a trouble maker as a result. When a friend of his, a fellow orphan, was killed in an accident while the two were on an adventure after sneaking out, he changed his ways and started to be more positive.
Shortly after his seventh birthday, a fire broke out in the orphanage as he was returning home. Everyone had managed to get out okay, aside from the kind old dragon, who had been murdered. Since he was found at the scene of the crime, Joe was framed for the death of the old dragon and captured. A landslide interrupted the group as they were dragging him away and he managed to escape, diving into the ocean and being presumed dead.
He washed up on the shores of Pyrrhia, where he was captured by Black Ghost, an organization run by an animus bent on starting wars between the kindgoms so they could sell weapons and get richer. Joe was enchanted by the animus along with several other friends to be super weapons. Joe, as the ninth created, was given super strength, hardened scales, underwater breathing and super speed. Like all of the enchanted dragons, he was mostly frozen in time, aging very slowly if at all. Black Ghost was unaware of his animus powers, which he used to help him and the other enchanted dragons in the area to escape.
The group was on the run for a long time, but eventually began to interfere with Black Ghost's plan, keeping the peace throughout Pyrrhia as they fought to destroy the evil group once and for all.

Relationships
Ivan
Joe's relationship with Ivan is a brotherly one. The role of big brother/little brother can easy switch from one to the other, as Ivan is mentally an adult despite being a dragonet under a year old due to Black Ghost's enchantments. When the dragonet is awake, he is always there to offer some wise advice to the others. Joe has great respect for the dragonet and understands that he doesn't like to be treated as a dragonet.

Jet
Jet is the second fastest runner in the group and tied for best flier along with Jean. Joe and Jet are good friends, helping each other out when possible. The two don't always get along; Jet's readiness to fight and quick temper often gets the two into arguments. Still, despite their differences they both respect each other and are supportive of one another. The two make a great team and Joe is thankful to have Jet as his friend. Jet and Joe have a habit of joking around a lot with one another, especially when the topic is who's crushing on who. In combat, the two are a force to be reckoned with. Jet is currently the only one who suspects Joe have having SkyWing ancestory, as he is a SkyWing himself.

Francoise
The relationship between Joe and Francoise is an interesting one. Joe had a small crush on her, though that's all it turned out to be. He was completely oblivious to the crush Francoise had on him. Francoise got the short end of the stick when it came to super powers and Joe can be found at her side whenever he's not busy with another enemy, protecting her fiercely. Francoise is one of Joe's closest friends. Francoise and Joe ocassionally joke around with one another, but are careful not to go too far with their jokes. Joe has a rational fear of Francoise's anger, as with all the others, but he's one of the very few who has seen it up close.

Jean
Francoise's older brother, Jean, is the SilkWing who has stolen Joe's heart. The two didn't get to meet for a while, as they had gotten separated after the two were kidnapped, but once they did the two became quick friends. With his enhanced eyesight and amazing flight abilities, Jean's the team's eye in the sky. He often accompanies Joe on scouting missions to make sure everything is clear. Jean's laid-back and friendly attitude makes him an easy dragon to hang out with and if Joe couldn't find Francoise or Jet he would immediately go to Jean when he was feeling lonely. Jean's protectiveness extends to Joe as well, and he does everything he can to keep Joe safe.

Albert
Albert's the Dad Friend of the team. Cracking cheesy jokes and offering advice to those who want it is his specialty, along with deadpan snark. Albert acts as a fatherly figure to Joe, who has great respect for the IceWing. Albert was the one to help Joe out when he was still getting used to his new animus induced abilities and was always there to help lighten the mood up a little with a little dark humor if it was needed. While Joe is normally seen as the leader of the group, he always turns to Albert if he feels conflicted about what to choose. Albert was the one to give combat training to the others. One of the oldest dragons in the group, he knows how cruel life can be and is one of the few dragons who Joe has told about his past.

Geronimo Jr.
Geronimo is the gentle giant of the group, offering advice to those who need it and using himself as a living shield in battle. Joe and Geronimo don't get to hang out as much as Joe would like to, but he is glad to have a wise dragon like Geronimo on the team. A quiet dragon, Geronimo is always there to offer some silent company for those who wish to be near someone, but not talk to them. Despite not hatching near any of the other dragons, Geronimo still acts as the Bigwings of the group, throwing himself between them and any danger. He especially has to do this for Joe, who is normally in the middle of the battle.

Chang
The cook of the group, Chang is always there to cheer someone up by making them their favorite meal. After Black Ghost's first 'defeat', Joe lived close to Chang and GB and helped out at Chang's resturaunt. He was more of an errand boy than anything, rushing back and forth into town to gather ingedients. Despite Chang's pickiness about ingredients and his bossy nature, he's a good friend and can easily tell when one of the others isn't doing well. Joe has picked up on this and normally goes to Chang if he wants to know if someone is upset or not.

GB
A bit of a joker, GB abuses his ability to shapeshift whenever he can. Joe is happy to hang out with him, as GB can easily make the mood brighter with a joke, even if sometimes GB's complaining can get annoying. Joe knows better than anyone that GB's ability to transform is much more useful than most would think it to be. GB has saved the team more times than Joe can count with his abilities and Joe makes sure to thank the RainWing for it later. GB is more of an uncle to Joe than a father.

Pyunma
A former SeaWing soldier, Pyunma is one of the best at combat and is always helping the team come up with a good strategy. He's quiet and thoughtful, pondering over the meaning of life and Joe often goes to him if he needs to talk about something along those lines. The two team up in aquatic missions all the time and Pyunma helped him get used to swimming in the ocean.

Gilmore
Gilmore is like a grandfather to Joe and the other dragons of the group and Joe lives with him, Ivan, Jean and Francoise whenever they aren't needed. Joe is careful to make sure the old dragon keeps out of the fighting if needed. When Gilmore tried to talk the four into getting their own homes, Joe adamantly refused, not wanting to leave the old dragon behind.

Other
Joe here is a hybrid between a SkyWing and EnchantedWing , a fanmade tribe of mine. He's got a little bit of MudWing in there somewhere(probably distant ancestor). His wings should be way bigger than in the picture, but I didn't feel like redrawing them once I realized it.
He inherited the animus powers that all EnchantedWings have.
Joe's legs are longer than a normal EnchantedWings' and he could probably fly without the use of magic.
Joe is completely unaware that he is half SkyWing, as he never met his father.
Joe can breathe fire but only if he's warm enough. He doesn't use his fire breath unless absolutely necessary.
Joe is the fastest runner of the group.
Because he is half EnchantedWing, he cannot use his powers to directly harm or control any other dragon without losing his powers unless the lives of an innocent dragon are in danger.(This does not apply to animus touched objects as long as a name is not used in the enchantment. Example; "I enchant the next dragon who touches this to become gravely ill.")
He enchanted his friends so that they would be unaffected by direct spells from Black Ghost or any animus without their consent. This includes him as well.
