Description Made icons for bottom left!
most are based or just from elementary but the scale icons took some more time

I only need to code the icons inside the dll now....

So is there somebody that knows which dll I should pick?

_____________________________

I started with the VS and I changed a lot from the mockup so it's way different now but soooo nice

(Yes it is a working screenshot and not a mockup)

I hope you like it or have any suggestions!

hi,
I have a question:
How did you remove the small space between the separator (between Treeview and Itemsview) and the selected item in the Treeview (navigation), it's the folder "Personal"?
Hope you know what I mean
Explorerframe, shell32 or something in the msstyle?

It's kinda same like this only windows theme has aero stuff and linux doesn't

morgengenuss In reply to Seahorsepip [2011-01-29 18:25:37 +0000 UTC]

hm, you could probably do something similar with compiz/emerald and murrine with rgba enabled.

but what i like about the vs more is the window-borders and merged menubar. the window-borders remind me a bit of littleglass by lassekongo ([link] )
it's just not as grey and macish

BeeTee [2011-01-14 19:00:42 +0000 UTC]

I hope you wont forget the users that use a higher DPI (125%) so the files such as explorerframe.dll will work! Keep up the great work!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Seahorsepip In reply to BeeTee [2011-01-14 19:03:26 +0000 UTC]

to be honest I think I can't make higher dpi's work because I modified a bit more then at default themes and so it would get very buggy when I add support for higher dpi's...

and ofcourse biggest reason is the time

I will post a update after the release that will add higher dpi support

BeeTee In reply to Seahorsepip [2011-01-14 22:33:05 +0000 UTC]

Oh okay, darn! Well atleast I will look forward to that update and can enjoy the base theme when it's released! Thanks! Btw, I was refering to the 64-bit version, just so you know!

May I ask what image you changed in the msstyles to get rid of the horrible default dropshadow behind the context menus? Yours looks so much better.

Great theme! The main location for Windows icons is system32.dll but icons are buried all over the place. New Win7 high res hardware icons are in ddores.dll, for example. You'll have to google for more locations as that is the extent of my knowledge. Rock on!

great, have you already import the elementary icons in Windows systemfiles,
because i also want to do this for my Elementary theme

Seahorsepip In reply to Nitnerolf [2011-01-12 16:16:09 +0000 UTC]

didn't have done it fully yet but I'm close to be done with it(32bit not 64bit yet)

which systemfiles change you exactly?
imageres and shell?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Seahorsepip In reply to Nitnerolf [2011-01-12 16:47:59 +0000 UTC]

imageres.dll, shell32.dll, explorerframe.dll and some more
and also ofcourse explorer.exe

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Nitnerolf In reply to Seahorsepip [2011-01-12 17:25:53 +0000 UTC]

ok, hope you get ready with the system files and keep up the great work

Nitnerolf In reply to Seahorsepip [2011-01-12 21:39:10 +0000 UTC]

know this, I'm working on the same for Ubuntu icons. To convert every .svg ico to png and make a icon of it with the right sizes is really hard work, because you have to edit every icon individually

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Seahorsepip In reply to Nitnerolf [2011-01-13 05:54:08 +0000 UTC]

maybe you can note me some converted png image =3

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Nitnerolf In reply to Seahorsepip [2011-01-13 15:00:21 +0000 UTC]

sure I can, but most of them are orange, cause they're Ubuntu icons

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Seahorsepip In reply to Nitnerolf [2011-01-13 15:21:51 +0000 UTC]

no prblem because I miss some icons for elementary and they are in the ubuntu icons
so more=better

so I just want them as kinda extra

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Nitnerolf In reply to Seahorsepip [2011-01-13 19:09:56 +0000 UTC]

oh my god, I think I have lost my Icons. I can't find them, that's very bad.
I'm so stupid

But if you want, I can make other Systemfiles except imageres and so on in Elementary style without Ubuntu Icons () completly myself.
Then we can put them together to one great Elementary Icons pack. That would be great.
Write back and tell me your opinion

👍: 0 ⏩: 2

Seahorsepip In reply to Nitnerolf [2011-01-13 19:19:18 +0000 UTC]

oh and make it with custopack tools, you don't need to edit the dll files anymore and it's way better and easier!
when you have done the custopack send it to me so I can edit it to make my own custopack out of it with my Wave theme and cursor logon etc

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Nitnerolf In reply to Seahorsepip [2011-01-13 20:47:20 +0000 UTC]

thanks for your agreement. When you'll be ready with the Systemfiles approximate? I think I'll should be ready at sunday

And thanks for the cool programm link, I not yet known this, but it's look very great

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Seahorsepip In reply to Nitnerolf [2011-01-14 14:54:29 +0000 UTC]

I will be ready around 12:00 at saterday with shell32.dll and imageres.dll.

👍: 0 ⏩: 0

Seahorsepip In reply to Nitnerolf [2011-01-13 19:13:14 +0000 UTC]

I'm doing shell32 at this moment so you can do a other dll and send me it by note
I will then send when all is done all dll's and you can release it as a icon pack
I will include the icons in my VS that will be posted as custopack format(<-holy program[link] )

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Nitnerolf In reply to Seahorsepip [2011-01-13 20:49:04 +0000 UTC]

and another thing:
do you need Systray icons for your theme? Because they are really needed for my theme and I'll make them certainly
