WOW!! This is definitely fresh and unique....if a bit Kandinsky-ish....Very nice indeed...I'm adding this to my favourites...I love the choice of shapes and colour on this....(which is what abstract art is about anyway)

Love the composition and the burst of creativity here.
Reminds me of Miro, which I like a lot too.

i really love the style of you.. i find it out by random search the color are vivid and glowing.. your composition is really great the chaos off the space in your images is not uncontrolled.. the subject is interesting too, the weelchair man seems to act like he is a kind off freak show in a circus and i must admit that you turn yourself in a way to the surrealist movement .. a bit of miro ... but dont take it bad . i love this thing and i fav it

you probably don't need words of encouragment like the rest of us on DA but because I favorited your peice I thought I'd drop a line. It's very Salvador Dali to me, who I enjoy greatly. You desereve a lot of credit for this peice, it's really quite amazing and well done. Seems like there had to have been lots of thought put into it - I sense a use of symbolism. I enjoy the overall look, with the shapes and colors.

Congrats on the feature.

I was very intreaged of your style, very jealous by it too. Your style is unique in its very own way, though your character work does remind me of the style of characters on nightmare before christmas (movie) I love your use of color and im glad you recieved a daily deviation cause it was well deserved, and without it i may have never seen your work! its quite an inspiration

If you're going for a look, you got it. If you're trying to express anything, I don't buy it.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

seanmetcalf In reply to BootlegJones [2005-08-05 19:32:40 +0000 UTC]

oh, well you have to understand that i have kind of 2 different kinds of pictures, there are the ones where i am just try ing to create a look, (yes this was one of them)...then there are the ones where i truly am trying to express myself...(most of my gallery are those kind of paintings)...i think maybe the reason you don't "buy" it is because your looking for a reason not to, i get the feeling you think i am into art for the glory of it, or that i am chiniving...well i am not. but thatnks for a tleast commenting, don't hate me too much, i am not a very aggresive person.

BootlegJones In reply to seanmetcalf [2005-08-05 21:14:11 +0000 UTC]

It stays shallow in point, I don't care for abstract art. As far as looks go, I do indeed give it glory. However, once an abstract artist uses that medium as "expressive art", I tend to be diswayed by any argument presented for the cause under the just that it looks like nonsense.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

seanmetcalf In reply to BootlegJones [2005-08-07 08:33:30 +0000 UTC]

but all art is expressive...at least in my opinion, but your entitled to your opinion, i think maybe your a bit trivial about it, but fair is fair...have a nice day
