I love Cesar Millan because he makes people understand that dogs are not humans and does not work as humans. Dogs are a different kind of animal and have a whole other mentallity than us. Many people doesn't understand that. That's why I can get pissed at other "whisperers" that say they can talk to the animal and know how it feels. Animans...doesn't...feel....or...think...like...we...do. Get it?
That's why I like Cesar because he is a real whisperer. And a good master.

Can I just say that as bad as it is treating your dog like a human baby, it is just as bad to treat your dog as if it were a wolf, like Cesar does.
Dogs are not wolves, nor are they descended from wolves. They are distant cousins. When feral dogs have been observed (see Coppinger), they have not displayed any 'pack' behaviour whatsoever, but were semisolitary animals. There were no hierarchies, no alpha's, no beta's and no subordinates. They just mutually lived in the same area.
Besides, the wolf observations were done on wolves in captivity, so it wasn't even natural behaviour for wolves. Later, when wild wolves were observed, the pack theory was again proven wrong, as no behaviours Cesar bases his training on occurred, least of all the 'alpha roll'.
So rather than trying to treat your dog like a wolf and causing it untold amounts of stress, treat it like a dog and don't follow Cesar's way.

Yes! but they are still canines from the canine family. Domestic cats are not lions but they are still in the feline family with the same behaviour, just like dogs.
What moron came up with this? They are packanimals, they need a leader. I don't have to be an expert to know this. It's the same with humans, we are also packanimals, we need a leader otherwise we're confused.
That's what Ceasar does, he treat dogs like dogs and not like kids.

and I agree with you, he understands dogs better than most people does.
I get angry when I see people who treat their dogs as if they were babies or something. THEY ARE NOT HUMANS and people can make them go crazy or bad behavioured by treating them as if they were.
