An orphan, Sariel was taken in by a wealthy family in the Upper City of Baldur's Gate. From a young age, she loved learning and invention, spending days at the Temple of Gond. As she grew older, her talents for invention and artifice also grew. In equal parts she would sneak out of her adoptive family's manor to both parties and libraries - until one day, she packed her things and announced she was going to become an adventurer. It didn't matter what anyone else had to say - Sariel was going to use her inventions to help people in need.
