Just a quick lil warmup to get creative juices flowing. The mother’s name is Libra, and the daughter’s name is Leilan. They’re from my fantasy story, and both play a major role in a story related to them.

I don’t have every single detail about the story, but what I do have so far goes like this: Both of them are from a tribe that worships a sun god, but the tribe split into two because of disagreements on the right way to practice their beliefs. Libra joined one of the tribes, but Leilan wanted to stay as a member of the old tribe (which is just called the Sun People). And while Libra understood and accepted her daughter’s decision, it did leave a bit of a rift between them.

In the modern era, Leilan became a major historical figure as the last leader of the Sun People. Libra ended up ascending to godhood, and became the one who judges souls on their way to the afterlife. But because she is now a goddess, Libra no longer feels any emotions towards her daughter, as she gave up her humanity (i.e. attachments, biases, and emotions) a long time ago. At least, that’s what most people think.
