Most of the sirenabonita mermaids have "merknees"
it is my person preference, and some people hate it
but, since they are my mermaids i get to do it my way

I can understand how some viewers don't like merknees. It doesn't look as FISHY.
but you are not the first. Remind them of The Copenhagen Little Mermaid Statue in the harbor.
