   Skye carefully cradled a Chikorita egg to his chest as he carted several of it's siblings in a closed, heated cart behind him. He and his family hadn't expected one of their breeding Meganium to produce so many in her clutch, but they welcomed it. It wasn't common for this to happen and it meant that they didn't need to breed for more eggs too soon.

   "H-hey, wait!" Skye froze in place, glancing over his shoulder to see someone running up to meet him. He gritted his teeth when he realized that it was the loud-mouthed kid from earlier. The kid that the injured Pidgeot belonged to.

   Great, ah thought deez guys wirnae gonnae bother me anymare. Danks, Ma. Ugh.

   "Whew, this place is huge. . ." the breeder heard the boy say to himself as he stopped to take a moment to catch his breath, his Pikachu watching Skye with a familiar set of brown eyes.

   "Uhh, Skye, right. . ?" The kid asked, weakly giving him a smile as he straightened up.

   Skye took a cautious step backwards, tugging the cart of eggs closer to him and tightly holding onto the egg still nestled in his arm. He didn't want to be all buddy-buddy with this guy, he only wanted to be left alone so that he could work- was that too much to ask? Surely this kid realized that when they first locked eyes less than an hour before when Skye had shoved him away from Pidgeot.

   The trainer awkwardly shared a glance with his Pikachu before he continued to speak. "Right, uhm, I wanted to thank you for taking care of my Pidgeot, since I didn't really get the chance to say it before."

   Skye gave his usual answer when being thanked for something. By giving the other a grunt and a shrug. He didn't need to be thanked. He wanted to help an injured Pokémon that was hurt during that doomsday storm, so he did and that was that. He didn't care if Pidgeot had a trainer or not, and he certainly didn't care if the trainer wanted to thank him for it.

   He turned to start walking away, cutting their 'conversation' short. Instead of taking the hint, the kid followed him.

   "Y-your Mom told me and my friends that you were the one who found Pidgeot and nursed him back to health, all by yourself!"

   Skye scowled, now deciding that ignoring was the best choice of action.

   The trainer grew silent, but when Skye thought he was going to finally leave him alone, he cleared his throat as if that would give him Skye's attention. "So! Since I know your name, how about I tell you mine? Only fair, right? I'm Ash Ketchum-!"

   Skye felt like screaming. Why was this kid still trying to talk to him? How stupid was he? Besides, who even introduced themselves with their full name like that? Loud-mouthed brats, that's for sure.

   Skye couldn't take being around this idiot kid any more, he had enough.

   Clutching the precious egg to him, the breeder turned to growl. "Go back tae yir pals befur ah decide tae throw yae oot masel'." The shorter boy stopped in his tracks, him and his Pikachu wide-eyed as Skye turned and started to stomp away. "Noo bugger aff."

   As he went on his way, he heard 'Ash' mutter to his Pikachu," Jeez, you'd think he'd be a little nicer."

   "Chuu. . ."

Soo, that's how Skye and Ash met. Or rather, their first one-on-one interaction. 12 year old Skye was intense as hell and hates everyone. If he could swear, Skye would've told Ash to fuck off < : )

I had written the drabble about a year ago and I wanted to get something done today, so have an edited version of the drabble and a quickly done picture of Skye wanting to kick Ash's ass.

And yes, Pidgeot and Ash are reunited in Greyscale!
Ash's Pidgeot tried making the trip to Shamouti Island, but he and his flock got caught in the terrible weather which caused them to crash land on Tohjo Ranch along with many other Pokémon overwhelmed by the storm.
Injured, Pidgeot is put under Skye's care as he recovers alongside others. Then, after a few weeks, a certain trainer and his friends are passing through Route 27 on their way to Johto when they so happen to see Pidgeot test flying over Tohjo Ranch. They follow and end up bumping (literally) into Skye, who was supervising Pidgeot's flight.
Skye, being the nice kid, quickly pawned them over to his mother and left as fast as he could, which lead to what you read uptop.
