This might sound kind of harsh, and if so, then I apologize for that. But, your entire comment strikes me as one of those statements that was better left with certain parts left out before you went through with it. You could have just said that you thought this was nice and complimented Slug as an artist - the drawing porn bit was rather unnecessary, as was the bit about it being similar to another artist's style. It makes the whole comment itself seem kind of like a backhanded compliment.
