i was really happy with how this turned out because it's for a contest. Took me about an hour to do and i almost lost it because i didn't (i will start) save it inbetween manipulating it and photoshop froze... but then it came back to life and i was like

WOW! The bold use of blue all over is really eye catching (no pun intended)! For an eye manipulation, this is very original and powerful.
The iris in the case is very well manipulating and does not look "tampered with." This testifies to your manipulation skills. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="
Then there is the skin surrounding the eye. The blues, and the scaly effect really set a cold winter tone, and set the mood for the entire image. The bigger, blurry glitter near the bottom cements the mood.
The only thing I see with this is is just above the eye, where the lighter blue skin meets the dark skin just under the eyebrow. This is the only major area in the picture where the overall harmony is broken. The change of colors is very abrupt.

thank you so much for the critique, this is the first time i ever made an eye manipulation like this. I noticed what you meant by the dark meeting the light, and i'll work on that
