The realism is impressive, lights create an atmosphere of another era. Really.
Meraviglioso!

Stunning and authentic! (sorry i am one of those reenactors too but it is allways nice to see an image that is authentic to its time, just makes the image really work for me.) There is such a sense of story in this image! It has the feel of victory, of overcoming the odds, of battles and of harsh and wild lands. I adore the way you have compiled this image. The figure is in exactly the right position to allow your eyes to also wander over the wild landscapes adding to the feeling of the journey, of the story. It is a very detailed image and coloured richly with wonderful earthly tones. I am intrigued by the wing like apparition on the right hand side of the image which makes me want to explore the storyline further (a very good way to feel about an rpg and certainly a draw). If I saw this image on the shelf i would definately pick up whatever it covered and read more. People do judge books and games by their covers and this will pull folk in. I dread to think how long this image must have taken you, i know it would take me an age to achieve anything half as good digitally. The shading is brilliant too and really adds to the textuers. With your use of shading and varied strokes you have created a real difference in texture. The cloth appears smooth and slightly woolen, the chainmail cold, the hair on the character and the horse is bang on. Such attention to detail especially with light and shade! I have spent a long time looking at this image now and my eyes discover more and more detail as i do so and i really cant fault it apart from one tiny little thing though i dont know how it would be changed (and i am not saying you need to change it at all). Sorry to bring it up but it doesnt quite look like he is holding the helmet to me. It seems like his hand is in the position for a sword/ spear/ flag but perhaps if the eye slit on the helmet was slightly bigger it would be possible his finger would be able to fit within it and hold it. The only reason i bring that up isnt because i fussy but because the image is so perfect in every other regard and to be honest if i were not so entranced by the peice to spend such a long time looking at it i am sure i would not have noticed. This really is something special

Le bras droit me parait un peu etrange mais la tete de M.Viking-Chevalier la...mindblowing...J'adore les details des plis dans sa tunique, les ombres sont incroyables...details de l'armure, de la ceinture etc...vraiment une superbe oeuvre!
