Description
Have a weird, fat cheeked Pokemon variant. Suggested by a friend when I said “Name a Pokemon and a type so I can create a variant”. She proceeded to say “Grass Pikachu”, and this is the end result.
This little woodland… Rabbit? Pikachu is a rabbit to me. This variant grows a pink, cotton-like substance around its neck (plus on its cheeks and eyebrows) which is actually a sort of fungus. The fungus grows based upon how many excess nutrients the Pokemon has consumed; acting as sort of an emergency reserve. The basis being that this grass Pikachu spends the late summer and fall eating as much food as it possibly can, so that when winter comes around it will have a source of food once it goes underground to hide out the frigid cold. When they emerge come the spring, there might not be any of this fluffy fungus left on the Pokemon at all.
The large leaf on its tail allows it to acquire a small amount of energy from bathing in the sun. Otherwise the Pokemon gets most of its needed calories from eating grasses, berries; and pretty much any other source of food that it can find. This Pokemon is incredibly friendly in the wild, making them easy to catch; in addition, the fungus around their neck gives off an oddly appealing scent. Good for aromatherapy.
