Saw this a little late, but
OH MY GOSH
The animation was already captivating me
And my volume was up just enough that I realised THERE'S SOUND, TOO!

This is a masterpiece * _ * Fantastic job you all!
Quite the creepy atmosphere. The porygon seems to have recorded a voice abruptly ending with "no no no no!! *krz* "
Sooo creepy ah > w <

I shouldn't have watched this with the lights off. Beautiful job! Your animation skills have improved greatly! It's amazing what you can do with the puppet tool.

No way...Is that the Porygon Z I used in my comic? If it is that's so cool!!! And the animation is so clean and so slick. My heart is racing with excitement!!!

Srarlight In reply to FoxRodDraws [2016-08-26 00:15:01 +0000 UTC]
Ah sorry, not necessarily as this was planned before your comic came out or even the mission itself, but it was a pretty big coincidence you used one too! That and with you getting the hall of fame status your character got to play a part in this. Either way it worked out thematically and really your porygon z can be in the same "brand" as the one here. Not the same entity but holds the same original function/creator of this place. If the guild bothered to look around more it's possible they would have found a few more porygon Z in varying states of functionality XD

That's so awesome! Which program did you use?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Srarlight In reply to LilyArcondas [2016-08-26 02:07:00 +0000 UTC]
Mostly Adobe After effects for the puppet animation and effects. The characters were made in paint tool said and I'm pretty sure Penta uses Photoshop for his illustrations. Sound editing was done in Adobe Audition and composting was done in Adobe premiere pro.

Wow! That's a lot of programs! What is composting, by the way? I tried looking it up on the computer, and all I got was how to make a compost pile out of rotten food and stuff xD

Srarlight In reply to LilyArcondas [2016-08-26 15:42:29 +0000 UTC]
It's sort of the last step of a project. It's when you bring all the small parts together into the longer video. Each shot or part is worked on separately and when they are done (and I did this a bit in the middle of the project to check the flow) I bring all the sound and video files into a program to string them together and do any last minute tinkering. Your seeing the end result of that process with this video.

My goodness! What amazing talent was put into this! The animation is so smooth, the backgrounds are so detailed and set the theme of the scene perfectly, the voice acting and voice editing is absolutely stunning, the music and sound effects fit perfectly with the story, and the story itself adds so much suspicion and terror! Amazing!
And at the same time I'm a jelly the icebergs get all the cool animations xD

Oh WOW that's so cool, amazing job guys ;w; I love the way the Genesee moves.
Hm though, since English isn't my first language, I can have hard time understanding something said with an accent or if there is noises over the speech, would it be possible to write the dialogue somewhere ? I hadn't understood what the Genesect said ;v;

YatterTheMan In reply to Kutla95 [2016-08-25 17:08:02 +0000 UTC]
Oh, sure! I wrote and spoke Glitch's (the Genesect) lines for the animation.
Not that what it's saying is super important, but here's what it is saying line by line:
"Preliminary neural recognition, complete"
"Executing program 17"
"Beginning socialized interfaces"
"Hello. Awaiting further instruction"

all you guys. you make such a good team ;W; your doing such a wonderful job with this group
That Genesect and Porygon are looking sooooo cool. Love the glitching, the voice acting. I especially love the scene where the camrea kind of slides from jay's face and shows the genesect in the backround. looks so good.

Aww jeez, thanks colors~ It means a lot to us that you guys are all enjoying everything this much! This was a really fun idea that Srar brought up, and damn did she ever put a lot of effort into making it this good; along with Penta as well, of course!
And it was a lot of fun coming up with lines for Glitch, let alone getting to personally voice it! (Seems having a bit of a broken up mic actually helped a bit in terms of making Glitches voice sound a bit more distorted, along with Srars edits xD)
We've got much more planned from here on, and like the rest of the team, I can't wait for us to start delving into it more and more. And the icing on the cake is seeing all you guys contribute with your awesome and fun characters~

ColorsAreAwesome In reply to YatterTheMan [2016-08-25 11:56:34 +0000 UTC]
Yeah it was an amazing idea, and so well executed. When so much work is put into something it really makes me want to do a good job myself.
I bet, having actual voice acting in here was a really cool idea, it defenetly added allot! Broken mics gotta come in handy too sometimes.
I'm excited for the future of the group. when you admins are so dedicated I feel its safe to dedicate myself allot to my teams as well.
It's a circle of inspiration. I get inspired by these things you guys keep posting. And hopefully the stuff I and other people do can again help inspire you guys to continue the group.
