Relax Lara, ECT is not as barbaric as you think

Martha entered room 54 with her cargo and another orderly was already waiting for them with a syringe. It was a cluttered room, lots of equipment with warning stickers concerning electricity but the object Lara fixated on was the large table with all the straps. It looked like an execution table.

"Ok Lara, we will give you a muscle-relaxant first"
"Please don't do this, I'm sorry I tried to escape. Please don't do this Martha" Lara pleaded. The next thing she felt was a jab in her shoulder.

Martha and the other orderly quickly and efficiently removed her restraints, rolled her onto the table and began strapping her down. Lara was fully alert but immobile as they applied thick leather cuffs to her outstretched arms, then the cold steel and unmistakable clicks of cuffs being applied to her feet. A rubber bit with the consistency of a doorstop was placed between her teeth.

The orderly began painting a slimy, viscous substance to her temples; there was a loud CLACK behind her followed by the ominous hum of an electrical transformer. Martha placed her hand on Lara's shin "you won't even remember this, but you'll feel better for it."
