Description That was the look out of my window, Steinstrasse 29, Emmerich My first own atelier, this romantic look doesn't exist any more. There is a new building now, when the old lady the owner (Ella van Husen, she is watering the flowers,) died. You see only the roof of the front-side building.

early 80th
oil-colour
ca. 25 cm x 30 cm

How cruel...

I hope the spirrit of the old lady, finds her new home in the painting. So she doesn't have to face all of her los...

Yes I also love ruΓ―ns and harmounious looking places. But my mind didn't make up yet where to live extually. I must say, I truly love old ghosty buildings, but I'm not there to live... I simply can't, my mind is rusty from itself, so for now I would probably crack down if everything was broken. So I go for a fissid once in a while and afther that, I take a hot shower and jump in my bed^^.

so, good night^^

Thank you Yoyo, it was that secret little garden hidden behind an old ruin. The bricks and trees have been a lot of work

It is a small piece and I worked hard on it. It has a few of the romantic of Carl Spitzweg a very popular German artist out of the 19th century. Thank you Jo

I show just a romantic corner, a lot of ugly architecture is here around
And they still doing the same mistakes. But people are not bad here and the people seem to be more tolerant as in other regions of Germany that's what I like most here

Beautiful. Can't say anything else. Just.. very, very beautiful. How do you say that in German? Sehr schΓΆn? Nein, sehr, sΓ©hr schΓΆn

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

StephanusEmbricanus In reply to Sfoozz [2008-09-10 15:35:11 +0000 UTC]

Uitsteekend mooi? Sehr sehr schΓΆn ist richtig stilvoll

Thanks

Sfoozz In reply to StephanusEmbricanus [2008-09-10 19:10:27 +0000 UTC]

I can help you with Dutch! Wooohooo You usually say "uitstekend" apart, so not in combination with another word.. Sehr sehr schΓΆn is in Dutch (yes, very similar..) "zeer, zeer mooi"! So Sehr = zeer/erg and schΓΆn = mooi/schoon

BUT(!): erg schoon is not the same as sehr schΓΆn, because erg schoon means very clean xD

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

StephanusEmbricanus In reply to Sfoozz [2008-09-11 09:59:13 +0000 UTC]

That's good so you get some more wrong spelled words connected with some wrong grammar
That's funny the connection between schoon and schΓΆn ("Schoonmakerbedrive") shows that "clean and nice" started with the same meaning that changed in the different languages within some hundred years.

maar, erg mooi ist sehr schΓΆn, isn't it?

Its like a little hidden treasure, you could only see it from above. The building in front was an old ruin from the war, only the first floor was still in use.

Andfor me one day beautifull is great, but second day this ''great'' is smaller or bigger...

I always thinking about, what is nice for me,most wanderfull.

Cup of coffe or cup of tea. Irish tea. And cakes from Dunnes Store

Brilliant composition with the frame work of the walls and trees...and the addition of the tiny figure which makes you look down at the ly scene in the centre !......
I hate it when old buildings are replaced by new......It is so good when people leave exteriors up and renovate the insides!
