Thank you! However this is done on Scratchboard, so I'm technically removing ink. And stay strong, It looks like you're already halfway there with your work, but continue with studies from photographs and from life, try different methods, mix them. You may be surprised with your results.

So you mean you scratch, add ink, then scratch more off to dull the color?

Uhmm. Not exactly. The one on the right is done with scratchboard, nothing fancy, if I mess up I do repair with ink and scratch back over the ink. The colored one on the right is scanned and colored digitally. I'm quite nervous to try adding color into the actual scratchboard but I have the inks and have watched wonderful instructional demos so I'll give it a try soon.

Oooooooh! Yeah, I add the ink right on the scratchboard! It's very nerve-wracking! Haha! It looked like you had it mastered!

I haven't tried Ampersand's Repair Ink yet, but I hear it handles well and isnt nearly as shiny. Have you tried it?

Yeah, I use Ampersand for all my inking so I can't compare to other inks. It does cause a really bad shine in my opinion, but I guess it's not as bad as others? I just try avoid using it at all costs. x.x
