Description

Candor Countershade’s debut role was a minor one, as an excitable unnamed friend of the lead in a production called Park on the Corner. It was so minor that she was the only one who auditioned, but put her all into it to prove herself.

Her efforts attracted quite a lot of attention, and caused the relatively minor role to be expanded; the character was given the name Batty Button and even got a full song of her own.

So I just might have come up with and overthought a whole bunch of fake plays for Candor to have acted in. Yeah. I was planning to draw a whole set of them together, but I figured I might as well upload them individually. Who knows how long it would take me to do them all, after all?

It’s probably pretty clear, but Park is supposed to be a whole roaring ‘20s thing. Her costume/mane/design here may have been partially based on a certain bootlegging cat, but for the most part is just kinda generic flapper. Similarly, the logo is pretty standard art deco font, but was still really fun to do. I really like doing typographic title/logo stuff, but don’t really get the chance to that often. Also, ignore how weird her winking looks please. I still struggle there.
Help I wrote too many words here.
