It has been a reeeeeally long time since I've done a mermay drawing. Over a decade I think lol. Anyway, here's mermay illustration number 1 of Princess Lacum, my Little Mermaid retelling, saving her love interest. She's trans, and her name is Julietta, I've really liked the name since I heard it in Encanto. I was thinking of drawing a similar scene to Disney's The Little Mermaid where Ariel was saving Eric from his explody ship. I'm not sure if I'm going to have this scene in the final story, but I just wanted to draw something like it. Hope you like it.
