I have looked everywhere for a brown/grey papered sketchbook -_- cant seem to find one.

I've only used white or off-white paper ("Moleskine-sepia"), but I think I'll spring for that sort of brownish hue the next time I get a new sketchbook

What do you use for the highlights? I picked up a Uniball white gel pen today inspired by this, seems to work in a similar way.

Sharpie Water-Based paint marker- you can use anything I just like how I can dab this and also spread it around with my finger for a subtle, wash-like effect.
