Commissioned work of Kolomenskoye. This is a former royal estate situated several kilometers to the southeast of the city center of Moscow. If you're going to visit La Biennale di Venezia this year, pay attention to the exhibition in Russian pavilion where 6 of my watercolors are hung!! And this one is among them

Just superb, not only a depiction, but an interpretation of a fascinating subject well worth painting. Tells some great stories, alludes to many others, living, breathing, gleaming on the canvas. I am SOOO glad I'm watching you.
