Dunno what hit me there, but this is what have been resulting from a very sudden idea two weeks ago already. Might had something to do that I played "Illusion of Time", also known as "Illusion of Gaia" a while ago...
Just took me a while to finish it.
Gaia as the goddess of the Earth is from the greek mythology and her name itself stands also for the greek word of earth.
This is my impression of how Gaia could be picutred without having any kinda greek influences for the style. I just let my imagination run wild.

Well, it is pretty old by now. Would be completely different if I'd do a remake of it today.

I love the use of the combo of Earth-type greeny-blues and the yellow, it all goes really well together.
This is a really beautiful re-interpretation of Gaia without any of the traditional Greek influences, it's awesome. I 
I also really enjoy Illusion of Gaia and the Soulblazer trilogy, and think more needs to be done to bring these three amazing SNES classics into the consciousness of the modern gamer generation.

Yeah, I know what you mean. A remake of these games surely would be great, but unfortunately many games are not very good today anymore. A few are still great, but honestly... sometimes I prefer the old SNES-games over newer ones for PSP or PS2 (Don't have a X-BOX360 or PS3).

Terranigma is the best rpg game I've played super nintendo, I love history, travel, chapters and challenges, especially the battle modes and travel in the world n.n

I love it when people do art from their impressions it just looks so awesome. it shows how they see thinks and how creative they are 83 I like this a lot I could picture gods from mythology myself but never attempted to draw them...anyway I never heard of Gaia just from the web site and some games...great job this gives me some kind of idea of what she looks like and I learned a little abut her in ur artist comments...ah well I like the emotion in this pictures and I like the colors here (my fave greens and mixs of green 83) like the detail in both the clothing and on her as well! all in all great job it is truly a nice piece of work here!

I'm always paying a lot ot attention to the colours and the details of a drawing and if I'm not, at least, a bit satisfied with a work, I keep working on it until I AM a bit satisfied with it.
