Description
The finished version of: Ultimate Deer Antler Guide - WIPThis has got to be the biggest endeavor I've ever taken. But all well worth it!
If there's any antler type that you don't see here, but would like to, feel free to
comment or note me.
A few prehistoric cervine are planned to be added:
- Eucladoceros
- Candiacervus
- Cervalces scotti (Stag-moose)
- Megaloceros savini
- Libracles gallicus (Broad-antlered Deer)
- Cervalces latifrons (Broad-fronted Moose)
A special thanks for the Fawnlings group and KutkuMegsan for inspiring me!
I plan to make another guide outlining the major horn types, but that one
will probably be far into the future unless I get quite a bit of interest in it. X3

I chose a photo of a random deer for my animal anatomy assignment, but my teacher was asking for a latin name of this exact species...I spent ages trying to identify it and finally found your guide. Turned out it was a fallow deer!

Although that pronghorns are even classified as animals with antlers, but they are more closely related to giraffes than deer, because they ha no dewclaws on each of their hooves, unlike all deer.

I have two white tail racks to mount , and I don't know if you like Longhorns but I have a real nice one on my wall that is a 3 foot an 4 inch spread with beautiful colorΒ

Wow! We used to have mounted longhorns, but gave 'em to a friend. X3 I think they were about the size of yours... more or less. Never measured them.
I wish I could find some dropped elk antlers out in the woods, but there's not many elk around here, and definitely not many older ones. Lots a white-tail though.... lots and lots... probably way too many. XP
