Description
I've been working on this fanfic all year, probably the longest time with a fanfic I've ever took, I put the poster up While In Progress but I finally just finished it

Before I get into the story I'd like to list the main characters first

So Anyways

It starts with Tintin and Snowy, Captain Haddock, and Hercule Poirot in Moscow toward the end of winter at an exhibit of treasured bejeweled eggs, the most important one being one called The Phoenix Egg, which Lupin the 3rd and his gang plan to steal, so Inspector Zenigata is on the case as usual

While in Moscow Tintin meets a young peasant woman his age named Marusia, who’s thinking of becoming one of those mail order brides, Tintin befriends her and tries to talk her out of it, at the same time Tintin runs into BlackJack, who’s looking for a mystery patient, though BlackJack successful treats this patient, this brings him, Tintin, and Marusia into conflict with a gang of Russian mobsters, and Tintin encounters a strange man who seems to be some kind of warlock (Spoiler: he’s actually Rasputin, who after his earthly death became a Revenant)

Then when Lupin tries to steal The Phoenix Egg, another thief, an attractive lady named Vasilisa, tries to steal it herself, and in the ensuing chaos The Phoenix Egg breaks, revealing that inside of it was the feather of a Firebird, later Vasilisa reveals herself to be the daughter of Countess Vera Rossakoff, the glamorous jewel thief that Poirot was smitten with, bringing up all kinds of feelings

Things start to real get fantastical when Marusia is abducted by a dragon! Tintin and Snowy, Lupin, and Zenigata chase the dragon by plane, with the others in Lupin’s yellow fiat, the plane follows the dragon to a spooky castle, which is the home of a vampire, our 3 heroes try to rescue Marusia, but Zenigata is cursed by the vampire, becoming a werewolf, and Tintin tries to hold off the vampire and her minions while Lupin, Marusia, and Snowy flee the castle

While Tintin is able to kill the vampire by exposing her to sunlight, the castle explodes, flinging Tintin out into the dark forest, he survives but is captured by the evil witch Baba Yaga, though Snowy, Lupin, and Marusia do save him, but they all incur the wrath of Baba Yaga and one of her 3 henchmen knights, as for Zenigata he survives the castle explosion because he’s now a werewolf, killing the vampire did release him from the vampire’s control and he regains his mind and free will, but he’s still a werewolf, and he learns to control his lycanthropy thought out the story

From there it’s a bit of a mish mosh of all kind of things happening, Tintin, Snowy, and Marusia befriending a Siberian tiger, the main characters encountering various mythical and magical creatures, like the leshy (elf like being that protects forests), and Rusalka (wood and water nymphs) and more dragons both good and bad ones, making an alliance with Father Frost and his daughter the Snow Maiden, and the Sea Tsar and one of his daughters, fighting more vampires, and fighting the dreaded Koschei The Deathless, whose heart is hidden inside an egg, inside a duck, inside a rabbit, inside a goat, in a tree on a secluded island, thereby making him near invincible

Eventually everything boils down to stopping the bad guys, the Russian mobsters and Rasputin, from releasing and awakening the powerful demon Chernabog on the day of the spring equinox, thereby creating an eternal winter and eternal darkness, which our heroes must stop, can they do that, while yes they will but it will be one hell of a ride doing that

Notes and Spoilers:

The firebird feather gives them the ability to summon the actual Firebird

There’s a bit of a side plot of Jigen accidently marrying a ghost (based off of Corpse Bride), so we got some Jigen feels here

BlackJack’s patient is an old man but he never contacted BlackJack in the first place, it was the old man’s Domovoi, a gnome like house spirit, who pays BlackJack in gemstones, and throughout the story we get some BlackJack feels because of his inadequacy in more supernatural situations, (like how Princess Bubblegum feels in the Stakes episode Take Her Back), although in one part of the story BlackJack is able to treat a Rusalka who’s stuck in fish form because of a fishing hook stuck in her mouth

Marusia turns out to be the great granddaughter of Tsar Nicholas the 2nd, the last Tsar of Russia, in this case being the granddaughter of Nicholas’s only son Alexei who survived the Romanov family’s massacre (YES I KNOW THAT’S NOT TURE, but this is a fanfic, so the truth is bent a little, just like that animated movie about Anastasia), this makes her important to the villains’ plot to release Chernabog because of the supernatural connection between her and Rasputin (because of Rasputin’s influence on Alexei)

The Tiger’s backstory is that he was an orphaned cub who was raised by a Siberian shaman, so unlike most other tigers this one knows the ways of magic and the spirit world, so he’s otherwise like Steven Universe’s Lion but not as mysterious and easier to understand

Also a major theme in this fanfic is Tintin coming to terms with the great power inside of him, cause he’s a hanyou (a yokai human hybrid) and is sometimes psychic, in this fanfic he even manages to shapeshift like a yokai, although this isn’t a permanent thing, just to be clear all these “superpowers” aren’t permanent, they come and go depending on the situation, so Tintin is still basically a human, albeit an incredibly AWESOME one
