Quill is my Rito archer from a Zelda-based RPG, "Reclaim The Wild". His village was burned and razed by Ganon's minions, and he lost his wife and son. He became a wandering hunter, living off the land for years, before a band of heroes set out to conquer the dungeons and try to put a stop to Ganon's forces. He was a cold, snarky loner that gradually began to open up and cope with his loss, and it turned out that he was a star baseball player in his home village.
