I worked on this piece very early in the morning like around 2 am? I finished about 5. Almost three hours but not quite. I started the inking with pen but the piece is an 8x11 so it's large. I ended up inking it with a watercolor brush and India ink. The white details in the black are jellyroll and acrylic pens.Related content

I love the theme! It's a very cool idea and the drawing has such amazing detail. It's sorta speaks to me saying that our worlds environment is basically plummeting down hill, and that we need to save trees and resources cuz they are what gives us life. I really love this style and art

This is a very strangely beautiful piece, what was the inspiration. The person is underwater gaining air from the plant correct? This is a cool concept.

I am severe asthmatic and I have two really big fears, Drowning and loosing my breath to death. IDK . . it just seemed like, it would be awesome to be assured of having air, anywhere.

This is an amazing way to channel that fear into something beautiful. I really like it, it's a great concept and it turned out really clean and straightforward. Great work!
Maybe I'll try to do the same, I have a strong fear of unwanted visitors, perhaps I'll draw something that expressed that fear. I also have a fear of drowning but it is not too strong. Strangely I have almost drowned twice in my life but the experiences have just lead me to be more careful and cautious, they never really reinforced the fear.
