Golly, is it August already?
Anyways, HUGE THANKS to everybody who's written such thoughtful crits about my story The Valiard Mansion!!!
SERIOUSLY you guys are amazing! THANK YOU SO MUCH! 
I promise to do my very best to improve so that the next chapter will be better than ever! Bottom two drawings are a little derp, though.
Bottom-left sort of looks like a new species of two-headed animal and bottom-right is an unfinished, abandoned pic. I stopped short of giving the male character, Lord Joshua his sexy hobo beard and pants. 
Ambivalence get!

Nah, that's Ruth's little brother, Adam. Super old sketches, though, so I was still working out the kinks of the designs.

The Valiard Mansion really only is available in English at this time. 
You could use Google Translate to translate it. You'll see if you go to the actual website ( translate.google.com/ ) there is an option to TRANSLATE AN UPLOADED DOCUMENT. Download the Valiard Mansion PDF, upload it back onto Google and choose your language. That should work.
It might not translate it very well, but you should be able to read it!

These are great! I really like the top left drawing (Ruth, right?). Something about her pose and expression, like she's got something almost mischievous on her mind, or something. If not mischievous, just pensive.
I still need to read your story. Your characters are so captivating, I need to know their stories!

WOW your sketches are beautiful, lively and absolute perfection. I want to draw more now because of you. These characters are so fully realized and well expressed, I just wish I had the capacity to do what you do so easily. Do you use references often for posing? I think it's incredible the angles you portray are near perfection

I rarely use references for my character drawings (using reference makes it less fun and look more static sometimes), BUT I do set aside time to do my studies separately. So that includes anatomy, poses, expressions and all sorts of itty bitties.
But if I'm drawing something I've never drawn before, it's a reference party all up in here!

Of course you are seriously one of the greatest artists I've actually had the pleasure of viewing. You are honestly better than some character artists working in the industry! I totally agree with you, for some reason using references in character art can leave your creations stagnant and boring. Yay sketches!
That first one of Miss Ruth is pretty...wow. o_o She looks super pretty there! I love her confident pose and her even more confident, kinda alluring expression. I really like Ruth because she's strong and confident in a lot of ways, and it's fun to see how that comes across through the different attitudes and looks you put her in.
And lol, I was going to say something about that "two-headed" one you mentioned. I actually like it a lot -- it's really sweet, and I love their happy expressions! Miss Ruth is really excited with her big, wide eyes and her dazzling smile, and Theodore has such a warm, caring look on his face. D'awwww! But I do agree that Miss Ruth's disjointed head makes it look kinda awkward. Part of it is from the pose itself -- the implied line of Theodore's back leading up to her head resting on his shoulder kinda guides your eye in that direction. But I think if the sketchy lines covering Ruth's neck, between her cheek and her shoulder, were a little less busy it would probably help to make it read better.
I like the sketches of Adam in the middle row, particularly the two on the left. They have this kinda mischievous quality to them that makes me smirk. : ) And most of the sketches of don't have a lot of detail in his eyes, which gives them this slightly...not empty, but more hidden look to them, which makes the mischievousness of the expressions even stronger. XP
I like that abandoned Lord Joshua/Ruth pic, too! I find that I like Lord Joshua's design -- his face is really interesting! And Ruth's expression is great, too -- she's like "ugh, really?" and all put out but whatever he's dragging her into. She's literally being pulled along, but her expression isn't scared, it's just....frustrated. And I think the poses work together well -- there's a lot of energy and motion to how Joshua is posed -- you can feel the tense jolting movements as he pull Ruth's arm. Ruth, on the other hand, seems like her body is held kinda loose, kinda limply, leaning forward to be pulled in but not really countering with much energy of her own.

AAHHHHHHH I LOVE YOUR DETAILED COMMENTS HOW I MISSED THEM!!
I know I messed up the two-headed pic quite bad.
I never thought of keeping the eyes "blank" to show hidden-ness!!!
AND OH GOSH!! That Ruth/Joshua pic at the bottom right drove me nuts. I actually gave up on it because I just couldn't get the right position for Joshua's left (our right) arm. Something just confused me there. I kept at it a few days, but decided it wasn't worth it. Then I painted that semi-realistic portrait of him, using this sketch as reference!

Lol, I don't know if you need to always draw Adam with the blank eyes. It makes him look hidden, and a little...ghostly, or empty at the same time. I remember you said the plan is to have Adam learn magic, right? I think it'd be neat to have him shift to the blank eyes when he's casting spells, or doing something mysterious/magical, to further push it. I don't know if I'd always have him be hidden/mysterious. I mean, when you draw him early in the story all grumpy about his mother fussing over him or because Ruth roped him into a job over his vacation, I don't think those emotions would play out as well if he always had the hidden eyes. But, like I said, it's a neat effect when the story/scene/mood calls for it.
Well, I know how it goes to get frustrated with a pic, but I still like the Ruth/Joshua pic. But really, Joshua? Making Ruth learn to see in the dark? She's gonna strain her eyes so much she'll need glasses when the story's over. Though, she'd probably look pretty cute in glasses, anyway... XP
