pedro kantor and his homie squad!all based and ready to drive around eating peoples faces!
there are lots of random hairs and bits of fluff on them which i really need to blow off before taking photos XD
enjoy!
P.S. i REALLY need to find the batteries to my camera as tasha's recorder is NOT designed for miniature photography XD

I love how you got the golden parts, it looks so shinny yet not bling-bling like; just like a golden armor (part) should look like.
The red details like the ropes and the leather skirts (specialy in Kantor's) are just great
may I ask you how did you get that tone of red or the one in Pedro's powerfist?

To get the red (using the old games workshop paint names)
-I used a basecoat of dark flesh (its a nice brown that goes onto anything very easily)
-I then covered the brown in scab red leaving very slight traces of the brawn in crevices and edges,
-after that its a layer of red gore, that blended out towards the edges, to give it the shade.
-I then added badab black wash inthe the recesses and edges for "insta-shading"
and i then finaly highleted the edges with a very thin layer of blazing orange and the TINIEST amount of bleached bone on the very tips.

Very nicely done. I like how you used the Masters of the Chapter and made them use able. My only question would be is...how did you get the helmets on them?

luckily the masters of the chapter all come with their heads as separate pieces so replacing them with new helmets is nice and easy

what did you do to the guy usually holding his helmet?? since you gave all of them regular helmets... and what is the guy usually holding the shields holding in his hands now??

both of them are holding bolt pistols XD not a very exciting conversion sadly but at least they're game legal and dont draw too much attention away from pedro

oh dont worry! they're completely game legal as chapter masters, veterans or captains and such, the problem is, you cant field 4 captains on the field at once, so i use them as honour guard as they dont have specific models as such.
the problem is, only the chapter champion can have a power fist or stormshield. (one of the honour guard)
its me just wanting certain models really XD

hehe i know the problem...
i dont play the game because i dont have anyone to play against, so i never bothered buying a codex or a rulebook actually
so what would be the cheapest way of playing these guys?? i actually have 5 because i have the guy with the power axe twice (miscasted power axe, converted it to a power lance/sword

A good way to run them cheaply is as vanguard veterens as they seem to be the close combat monsters haha.
do you have a local games workshop where you can have a go? its where i met most of my friends to play against

closest gw shop is a 3 hour drive away
i did think of vanguard vets, but they lack the jumppack... (does that make them cheaper?)
how did you do the arm of the guy with the powerfist?? i cant get the arm to look good (since there is no joint) maybe you can make a close up pic of that
i was looking over your models again and i cant not love them... the nice deep blue tone, the excellent highlights on the red... truly an awesome job!

but i think i used the left arm of an assault marine as there are several left handed pistol users in that kit and i had the sapres
and yeah, vanguard without the packs are even cheaper

got it in one! I basically just swapped the heads for helmets and the storm shield and power fist for bolt pistols to make them game legal
