There are those out there who would ask: "Why do you like Aquaman?"This is the answer. Aquaman, amongst many other cool things, fights SEA MONSTERS. He even fought Cthulhu once! That's awesome.
And it is in that issue's honor that I drew this picture of Aquaman fighting Cthulhu. I based this design of Aquaman off Phil Bourassa's ([link] ) great design for him from the also great "Young Justice" cartoon.

Lets not forget that he also saved the rest of the Justice League during Tower of Babel, after overcoming Scarecrow's fear gas.

He fights a Cthulu stand-in once per year in continuity. Aquaman's trident used to belong to Triton son of Poseidon until Triton tried to overthrow his father and Aquaman rescued Poseidon from Tartarus and was rewarded with the trident.
