History:
The T30 Strike Fighter was a model of space superiority star fighter used by the Galactic Remnant. Development for the fighter started around 19 ABY (After the Battle of Yavin) as up until that point, the Galactic Remnant was using repurposed TIE fighters along with a variety of other fighters such as the clone wars era Z-95. The original design specifications for the T30 was for a star fighter that was on pair in speed with the New Republic's X-wing, along with the fighter having a hyperdrive, shielding, and life support (though Galactic Remnant pilots still use a full body suit with its own life support). It was planned for the fighter to be the start of a much larger program that would eventually give rise to an interceptor, and bomber design, but then the New Republic got involved.

Fearing that the Galactic Remnant was gearing up for a potential conflict with the New Republic, as the NR viewed the Galactic Remnant has nothing more then another Imperial Remnant faction. Lacking the military power to fight the Galactic Remnant one on one, the New Republic resorted to simply threatening sanctions, and the blockade of their trade routes if the Galactic Remnant didn't obey them. Having no other choice  but to obey as entering an open conflict with the New Republic would turn away many of the Galactic Remnant's allies, and trading partners. In the end, the fighter's design changed very little, though most of the planned variants, and successor designs were forced to the waste bin. Though this didn't stop the Galactic Remnant from developing additional space craft for long.
