We talked about this piece in my painting class (because our last unit was self portraits). We discussed the connection between the blank/unreadable face/head and the closed book, as well as the seemingly unkempt conditions of your apartment/living room/home. It was a good talk and opened a lot of ideas for me. Thank you for painting this.
