During wintertime the sun doesn't stay up for long, I imagine it can feel strange for the people who doesn't live in north. Also, I imagine the bright nights during summertime can feel strange also for those people.

It really would be strange to me. I grew up in England where, in Summer, it was light until 10pm. In winter it was dark by around 4pm. Here in my part of Australia there is not a whole lot of difference between summer and winter really. It's light by 5am in summer and 7am in winter. Dark by 7.30 or 8pm in summer and 6ish in winter.

I think I'm a bit lucky.
I don't mind about the coldness, actually I was a bit disappointed that we only had like 2 weeks of really cold weather this winter, I would have liked to photograph the steam more often.
