Hey dude! ok, although im not a professional skateboard artist, hopefully these few tips may help you one way or another to do your personalize deck..
(1)Firstly is the surface of the deck,best is to get a raw wood without lacquer kinda deck, if not u gonna have to scrape the lacquer off before starting your designing on it. for the paint wont stay or be fully absorbed by the deck wood if it has lacquer on it.
(2)Type of Paint or ink used for the designs.. permanant ink,leather dye, oil base paint.(spray paint and oil base paint won't mix,so do take note of this if you are using spray paint.)
(3)After final designs are done and painted on the deck, apply a few layer( after drying one after another fully before applying the next)of lacquer for extra protection on your designs.
(4)Attached wheels and go rock the skate park!! Haa..

O ok( also ur information wuz very use full and i ll make shore to use it i even printed it out lol). but ya see i had already bought a mini logo deck about a size 8 and ur saying i sand the surface down if i plan on trying to customize it

also

I found websites tht sell complete wood blank decks(probly lackered though) and wondered if u knew any where i could order one and not hav to go through the hasel of finding a really used deck or going out and buying a sander in order to get the lacquer off.

umm...haa, tats good to hear tat my pointers do help abit.
Well im not a skater myself and i dont really know where to get raw decks too...hee.. cant really help you on this part dude.
