I saw the lineart and I just couldn't resist. I went for a sort of bright, storybook colouring style to best fit with the cute, cartoony look of the lineart. But really... to be honest, I'm not that good at colouring in. I'm better at colouring on.
Thankfully, paintovers are acceptable in the contest. And I remembered to add back in ~Mio09 's little URL after I painted over it. 
I made the swirly tendril things look a little like earthworms which was unintentional, but never mind. I guess they could be worms. Happy, happy worms.
I'll try to do something less sickeningly cute for my next deviation.

Oooh. This one is really nifty. I love the use of the red toadstool to draw the eye to Alice. Also, that is the sleaziest looking chesire cat I've ever seen xD

I soooooooooo wish I was more competent with computers to attempt such things ,I'm sure I would have fun , one day I might have a try , until then I'll admire the lovely images like this that you very talented and creative bods produce.

Beautiful painting job! I love the lighting and the bright yet soft colors. It really adds depth. The greenish-blue lighting coming from the darker parts of the piece stops the mushrooms from blending in, they stand out nicely.
