Description The only useful thing I made tonight. Tired of hanging my jacket on vise, stump, etc., then having to move it when I needed the tool.

The thing is that a jacket puts the center of gravity under the middle of the brace and a hook you can slide on won't wrap that far. It'll spin off when you toss the jacket on. The clever solution is to use stock thin enough to bend by hand and just clamp the extra needed length onto the brace when it's cold by sheer muscle power. Because, you know, 1/8 mild is normally so tough.

3 hours later, I realized I can add about 4" of stock and a 90' twist, and lock the hook so it won't slowly separate as I hang heavy coats on it. Ah well, it'll still function for the time being.

Possibly. There's a change or two I need to make to the design, but yeah, it's a real easy piece to make. I think I'd recommend it as scrolling practice for newbs.
