Oh really? Lol, ok, I might just do that. ^^ Thanks for the recommendation. And even though you're not pro, you're way better than me, as far as originality. I can only copy Kubo's work. Lol.

haha this was done with a reference picture , and believe me, when it comes to bleach i struggle to get the style right, Kubo has a unique style in the way that the faces are elongated but still fit and match up proportion wise, i really struggle switching from Tetsuya Nomura's style (final fantasy/kingdom hearts) to something like Tite Kubo's or Akira Torryama's for that matter, but thats what practice is for, hopefully i'll develope a style that mends all three into one but it's definitely going to take some work haha just keep up the work and im sure you'll be creating your own stuff soon enough

Aww, thanks so much! I'm really an extreme beginner artist when it comes to my original works. But I saw something somewhere that said, "You don't have to draw humans to be an artist." I think about that every time I want to draw something. I actually think my strong suit is more of landscapes, animals and the like, but I'm still a beginner with those too.

That'll be so awesome to see all three of those different art type into your own style! I can already see some of Tetsuya Nomura's style coming into Kubo's in your work! Ichigo's hair is evidence of that. ^^ You keep it up too, and I'm sure you'll achieve your goals.

just go at your own pace, thats what ive learned, i try to do atleast 2 drawings a day now, just referenced work to help the style develope, working a rough sketch and then tracing my sketch to refine lines and help shape in an actual pose while also fixing and correcting mistakes from the previous sketch, it could take anywhere upto 10 attempts of this method before i get something i like lol but they lesson is practice, im sure you get people who dont draw at all saying stuff like "i wish i could draw" etc etc, but what i learned is anyone can draw, it just takes dedication and practice just like anything else in this world, but they lack the motivation, when i started drawing anime, i was horrible and i mean horrible haha but i worked at it to get where i am now lol.

as for style developement the advice i can give (even though its not much) is that referencing and life drawing help a lot although its best not to attempt your own work until you feel comfortable to do so. What i did was, i used to take an image in one style, lets say Ichigo/kubo in a pose where he is swinging his zanpakuto, and crossed it with Nomura/Cloud. So the final image would be ichigo's pose but as Cloud Strife and what this does is it helps you take baby steps as to generating the way a different character would look in that pose which will eventually lead to you being able to do it from scratch because the process is the same just with an OC

wow thats a lot, sorry got carried away...

WOOOWWW!! haha we both like to use don't we. lol.

I totally understand what you're talking about. I've really always been good at reference drawing, but my attention to actually getting the feel for how the body is positioned and the clothing, face, etc, really wasn't there at all. But then again, that was when I was younger. Heh heh. When I reference draw now, I'll be sure to pay attention to those things, but that's only been recently, and I'm still not very good at all with any sort of human drawings on my own. I'm sure it will take a long, long time for me to develop my own groove, but I'm happy to do my best to be patient with myself. Lol, no matter how hard it will be.

Your advice is great!! Really!! For someone like me, it's worth more than anything. ^^ My weaknesses are hands, feet, faces, hair, and proportioning to angles. :/ But like you said, it takes a crap load of practice, which I haven't really done. I began with tracing when I was 9ish, and only a few years ago did I realize that reference drawing was almost exactly the same, plus, I enjoy it!

Oh look at me, I got carried away too! Hahahaaa... Ope, here it comes!
