I was given 3 poems and with that I had to create a painting for each. This time i was given the poem by Wang Zhihuan - "On the Stork Tower":
„The sun along the mountain bows, the Yellow River seawards flows. You will enjoy a grander sight by climbing to a greater height.“
I had the creative liberty to make a painting however I wanted as long as it was about this poem. I decided to follow where the yellow sea takes me. A great climb upwards towards a great view. We need to face different difficulties throughout the climb but we will get there soon as long as we follow our designated path. It took me a long time to figure out what I wanted to present as my final piece but eventually I just decided to “wing it” and trust what my hand and brain were doing by themselves. I put my full trust in my unconscious creativity and it let me here, and I definitely don't mind it one bit!
