GATEWAY is an Australian mutant with the ability to teleport objects and people over vast distances by twirling his bull roarer above his head. He can also open gateways through time. He can dream walk. He can communicate with telepaths. It has also been implied that he possesses total recall and that this combined with his powers allows him to be virtually omniscient. Much of Gateway’s past is a mystery—in fact, apparently all of it is beyond that he appears to be an Aboriginal who seems to have grown up in the Outback. It has been revealed that he was, at some point, a teacher of the fused St. Croix twins and that he is the ancestor of Bishop and Shard.
