Thanks man, it took me long enough... even now, four years on, I'm still 'afraid' I might ruin it if I go over it in ink and colour... what I have been considering, one day, is to print off a copy and try it on that - like that I'll still have the original in case it doesn't quite go to plan. I do however have LOTS of ideas to draw so it may be quite a while before I get round to it...

It was very hard doing this one - I mean not just because of the obvious; but because the original photo I was copying from was, in comparison to my drawing, quite low-res and blurry-looking. OK, the original was in colour - big difference - but mine's actually more detailed

I'm not going to colour it though; it's the one and only drawing of mine which will remain in pencil - the detail was so fine that I'm just afraid that if I go over it in pen and colour, it'll ruin in. Maybe one day when I've crossed off most of my "to draw" list I'll print out this scan and try colouring that - if it goes wrong at least the original will remain intact.

Yes, very different.
For reference, I used a photo - but it was a blurry, low-quality photo. So I tried to make my drawing much more detailed - and in that I somehow ended up in some perfectionist mindset and spent days going really in-detail with constantly sharpened pencils... Unlike most pencil artists I only used two pencils - standard HB, and 3H.

It was a lot of hard work - concentrating so hard, my eyes hurt for days afterwards - but I think it was worth it, probably one of my best of all
