I think what I like aboout this is the way the cylinders (I'm going to guess it is cylinder, anyway) perfectly split the julian "gems" instead of just covering them up. And the details are super sweet too, I could definitely get lost in this fractal.

I guess my only complaint is that the anti-aliasing isn't that great, lots of jaggies. That's a relatively small nitpick though, overall a very well done fractal.

Yup, they are indeed cylinder

Yeah, now you mention it the aliasing did mess up, which is a bit of a bugger - once I've done my current re-renders I might also do this one to alias it better .
