You and me both. I can't let go of the idea of these two. I can just see Gil being the one to weep when he realize's the wrongs that are going to befall Ardyn. I'm also sure that why he's in form of purgatory still waiting for his king.

Yes to all this ♥ For me this is the strongest reason he could have to keep existing as long as Ardyn has. Faithful to the end, in a way. Bound by something which surpasses mortality.

Yes just as cor served Regis faithfully after his passing, since Gladio's father had followed his king and dear friend to the end.
