Description Β Lake Anguis, or the Great Lake as its colloquially known as, without it being where it is, I would have never found Aster Village. Though I'm from islands located in the actual ocean, there are so many large channels that run into the Great Lake, it's almost as if it's just a large gulf to the mainland! Still, this lake is one of the major trading centers for the mainland. Given its size, the Great Lake can take a good couple weeks to sail across. With all of the port towns and villages however, making stops to restock or repair your ship isn't too difficult. In fact, I had to make a couple stops myself before finally arriving in Aster Village. It can get pretty confusing since several villages have different names for the lake itself as well! Especially those that don't get out much, which is why, to save confusion, most have taken to calling it simply "the Great Lake." Aster itself lies on the Western part of the Lake, I was coming in from the South so it took a good while and a little spotty weather, but I made it.Β

Still, with how large it is, I cannot say much about the Great Lake yet other than some of the port towns have claimed that certain sections of it are "dungeons" due to the types of pokemon that dwell there and how aggressive they can be to outsiders. Weather can also be fleeting on the Great Lake. I have had days where it would begin to pour like the whole world was to flood! Only to have it stop almost abruptly after a few minutes. Sometimes you can even watch a storm roll by in the distance and yet it will never pass over you...I was even able to see the rain disturbing the waters once...it was quite interesting, but nonetheless I made sure to steer clear. Like the saying goes, never chase a storm, you might find it turning on you in a moment's notice.

Still...I would like to learn and map a bit more about the Great Lake, especially what may lie under the waters! I have heard tales of everything from treasure, to forgotten cities...even Pokemon that may be as large as the islands I come from! Though they are just folk tales...I love to fantasize about them...for you never know what the ocean holds...but as it stands now, I will make more edits in this report as I find out more about this Great Lake of the mainland.

Aaah, this is such a calming area. It's close to Aster, isn't it? Regardless, it's just so amazingly drawn up.
